Looking for anxiety therapy in Swindon or Wiltshire?

Hello & Welcome,ย Iโm Carly Ann, a psychotherapist, speaker, and facilitator. I help overthinkers who get stuck in spirals understand their triggers, become less reactive, and build confidence โ so they can feel calmer in relationships and start thriving in work and life instead of being run by anxiety and overthinking.
Anxiety can feel exhausting.
Perhaps your mind never seems to switch off. You replay conversations, worry about things that haven’t happened yet, or find yourself imagining the worst-case scenario. You may feel constantly on edge, struggle to relax, or notice your heart racing even when there’s no obvious reason why.
Living with anxiety isn’t simply “worrying too much” It can affect your relationships, confidence, work, sleep, and your ability to enjoy everyday life.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.
I offer anxiety therapy for adults in Swindon and across Wiltshire, providing a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can begin to understand your anxiety and develop healthier ways of responding to it.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You may be experiencing anxiety if you:
- Constantly overthink situations or conversations.
- Find it difficult to switch your mind off.
- Worry about what other people think of you.
- Feel overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities.
- Experience panic attacks or physical symptoms of anxiety.
- Avoid situations because they make you anxious.
- Need frequent reassurance from others.
- Struggle with low confidence or self-esteem.
- Feel stuck in cycles of overthinking and self-doubt.
Anxiety affects everyone differently, but you don’t have to keep coping alone.
My Approach
No two people experience anxiety in the same way, so I don’t believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all.
As a CBT therapist, I use evidence-based approaches to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours interact. Alongside this, I integrate New Wave CBT approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), helping you develop practical skills while building greater self-compassion.
Alongside my CBT work, I am also training in coaching and Somatic Attachment Therapy, allowing me to support clients in exploring how early relationships, attachment patterns and nervous system responses may be influencing their anxiety today.
This means our work can include practical strategies to help you feel better now, while also exploring the deeper patterns that create lasting change.
How Therapy Can Help
Together we can work on:
- General anxiety
- Excessive worrying
- Overthinking and rumination
- Panic attacks
- Social anxiety
- Low self-esteem
- Perfectionism
- People-pleasing
- Relationship anxiety
- Anxious attachment
- Building confidence
- Emotional resilience
My aim isn’t simply to help you manage anxiety but to help you better understand yourself, so that you feel more confident, calmer and able to live the life you want.
Flexible Support That Fits Your Needs
Not everyone is looking for weekly therapy.
That’s why I offer both ongoing therapy and single-session therapy.
A single session may be right for you if you:
- Feel stuck with one specific issue.
- Need support making an important decision.
- Want practical strategies to manage anxiety.
- Need space to think things through with a professional.
- Want clarity without committing to regular sessions.
Many people find that one focused session gives them valuable insight and practical tools. Others decide they’d like ongoing support. There is no pressureโwe’ll work together to find what best suits your needs.
Therapy in Swindon & Across Wiltshire
I work with adults experiencing anxiety both online and, where available, face-to-face in Swindon.
Whether your anxiety has been with you for years or has developed following a recent life event, therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore what’s happening and begin making meaningful changes.
Before We Meet
Your first appointment will usually take place online. This gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, understand what has brought you to therapy, and decide whether we’re the right fit to work together.
If you would prefer face-to-face sessions in Swindon, please enquire about current availability when you get in touch. Where possible, I’m happy to accommodate in-person appointments.
